All stone chips vary in size and location as well as impact so there is no precise way to tell over the phone whether or not a chip is repairable. We generally tell customers that as long as the impact point is smaller than the size of a dime or nickel and is not too badly damaged or sitting on the edge of your glass then it may be repairable.
Many people see other glass company advertisements that may give you the idea that chip repairs will disappear once filled however that is not the case. Below we have a before and after picture shown which will give you a better idea of what a completed chip repair looks like. They will never fully disappear however they will look much smaller in size and compare closely to a "bug smudge".
